Ras Al-Ein

Location description: the spring overlooks the old town from the southwest side. It is one of the three essential springs that used to provide the city with water throughout the ages, in addition to the spring of Qarioun and Dafna. The spring includes several tunnels and canals cut into the natural rock inside the cliffs to reach the water sources. They are natural tunnels, one extending for several meters inside the mountain, resembling the shape of a small room cut in the rock from which water flows. Corresponding to the tunnels and canals from which the water comes out, are tunnels and channels that are connected to the water system of the Roman city of Nablus. The water of this spring is still flowing to the present time.
