Al-Saqaya Standpipe

The standpipe has a facade in three pointed arches, approximately 3.25m high and 2.80m wide. The depth is about 60 cm, and the front includes a water basin topped with a metal spout installed in place of the old stone tap. The basin is topped with modified floral and muqarnas motifs, but they are eroded and indistinct; Because of the water and the weakness of the stand's stones. The facade also includes a stone frame that appears to have been one of the inscriptions removed during the later periods. At the top of it is a stone inscription that dates the history of the standpipe and its builder, Prince Suleiman Aga. The Nablus municipality restored it in 1997 AD, then again in 2010 AD. It was connected to the city's water network, and still provides the needs of passers-by and visitors drinking water.
