Edward Robinson mentioned in 1838 AD that it is one of the villages of Bani Saab, and also mentioned by Victor Guérin the French in 1870 AD as one of the villages of Bani Saab without visiting it, as he described it while he was in Far'ata. In surveys in western Palestine in 1882 AD, it was also mentioned as a small village on a hill containing water wells on its northern side, and olive fields.In 1997, Riwaq documented the old town of Jinsafout, where it counted about 63 historical buildings; most of these buildings are connected (38 buildings), 21 single buildings, 37 buildings used to the present time, and three partially used, and 23 abandoned buildings. The village had about 45 single-story buildings, 13 two-story buildings, and one three-story building. As for the materials used in construction, are limestone and lime mortar, and mud was also used. The ceilings and roofs were built with the cross-contract system for 41 buildings, with a single dome.
