Nestled in the heart of the Old City of Jerusalem is arguably the holiest site in Christianity, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. This iconic place of pilgrimage is believed  to  encompass  the  sites  of  Jesus  Christ’s  crucifixion,  burial,  and resurrection.

Regarded as one of the most iconic landmarks in Jerusalem, the Church of All Nations and Garden of Gethsemane sit at the foot of the Mount of Olives on the eastern side of the Kidron Valley. This stunning neo-Byzantine church was built in 1924 on the ruins of two previous churches.

Located atop the Mount of Olives a short walking distance from the Chapel of Ascension and the Russian Church of Ascension is the Pater Noster Church (Eleona) which is built on the traditional site of Christ teaching of the Lord’s Prayer.

Nestled within the Muristan area of the Old City’s Christian Quarter is what many believe to be the oldest church standing in Jerusalem, the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint John the Baptist. Its prominent silver dome rises up from an unassuming courtyard just south of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
