Another well know landmark on the Mount of Olives is the picturesque church of Mary Magdalene which is easily recognizable throughout Jerusalem with its seven golden onion dome reflecting the splendor of the Old City of Jerusalem.

The Holy Monastery of Saints Theodoroi, dedicated to Saint Theodore of Tyro and Saint Theodore Stratelates, is one of the many Greek Orthodox monasteries located within the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem.

As its name suggests, the Holy Monastery of Saint George in the Jewish Quarter is a Greek Orthodox Monastery within the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. It lies just east of the Armenian Orthodox Church of Saint James and only 500m from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

The Greek Orthodox Holy Monastery of Saint Basil is located just inside New Gate in the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. The Monastery can be found down the narrow Saint Basil’s Alley that runs off of Casanova Street. The Monastery is dedicated to Saint Basil the Great and contains one of the Saint’s holy relics.

Sitting high on a hill on the road between Jerusalem and Bethlehem, is the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Prophet Elijah, known locally as Mar Elias. This Monastery, dedicated to the biblical Prophet Elijah, overlooks both Bethlehem and the Herodium in the West Bank.

A short walk from the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, is the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Saint Euthymios, located next to the Monastery of Our Lady of Sednaya.

Inside the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, not far from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is the Monastery of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel. The Monastery is dedicated to the Archangels, particularly the Archangel Michael, who resisted the rebellion of Lucifer against God.

On Greek Patriarchate Street, not far from the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in the Christian Quarter of the Old City, is the Holy Monastery of Saint Nicholas, one of the largest monasteries in the Old City of Jerusalem.

The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Dimitri is located within the grounds of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. The church is dedicated to Saint Demetrios of Thessalonica, also known as the Holy Great Martyr Demetrios the Myroblyte.
