6th station Via Dolorosa

The Via Dolorosa or the “Way of Sorrows” is the traditional route Jesus walks on his way to his crucifixion. The Via Dolorosa has 14 traditional stations honoring the events that took place as Christ made his Golgotha to be crucified.  Every Friday afternoon hundreds of Christian pilgrims join a procession and make their way along the 14 stations of the cross ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.  Sixth Station - Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus:  The small Greek Catholic Chapel names the Holy Face or the Church of St. Veronica marks the spot where Veronica used her veil to wipe the face of Jesus.
