It was inaugurated on February 28, 2014, in the presence of the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Rula Maayah, the Governor of Jenin, Talal Dweikat, and the Spanish Deputy Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Joses Gracia. The center is located in the Mahmoud Darwish building in the center of Jenin, and the area of the center is about 385 square meters.The center contains several facilities, a reception, and an information hall, where the tourist receives the necessary information about their residency period in the region and about the tourist sites and service areas such as restaurants, hotels, tourist guides, and other important information.The second hall is called the Jenin Treasury. This section presents the tourist attractions in the governorate through a 360-degree panoramic display of images through interactive screens that are controlled by the touch feature. The third hall displays the time scale of the Jenin region and the development of the settlement and societies in it from ancient times to the present. This section also shows the services, such as hotels, car rental companies, restaurants, hotels, etc.The fourth hall contains a cinema and an interpretation center, where a 15-20-minute film displays the history and the culture of Palestine, taking into account the privacy of the Jenin region in particular, with English subtitles, in addition to other activities related to the city.The center also contains a meeting room that can accommodate up to twenty people and is designated for holding meetings with local and professional bodies from the public and private sectors. There is also a section that specializes in selling souvenirs of the city.
