4th Station Via Dolorosa

The Via Dolorosa or the “Way of Sorrows” is the traditional route Jesus walks on his way to his crucifixion. The Via Dolorosa has 14 traditional stations honoring the events that took place as Christ made his Golgotha to be crucified.  Every Friday afternoon hundreds of Christian pilgrims join a procession and make their way along the 14 stations of the cross ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.  Forth Station – Jesus meets Mary His Mother:  To the right of the third Station, on El-Wad Street, lies the entrance to the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate and the Church of Our Lady of Spasm marking the forth Station of the Cross where Jesus met his mother.
